About Me
My name is Walter. I have worked in food preparation for years, and have also been an avid writer for some time. I’m a news junkie: several times a day, I like to go to the NY Times site, and read the stories and headlines vis-á-vis the headlines from other papers and news sites: I go to NPR, to al Jazeera, and even sometimes, the Moscow News–though that news source is dubious at best.
I also am interested in true spirituality. I say “true” because I think there is so much in the world and in cyberspace that is a falsification of the truth, including most established faiths, and most new-age pap. I am searching for a way, a path that reaches me emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Established religions don’t cut it: I’ve tried. I tried a return to my Catholic upbringing; I tried a delving into hatha yoga (or whatever the popular moniker is these days for yoga–vinyasa?). Yoga was compelling, but didn’t go deep enough–it seems degraded from the original intent.
