Artificial “Intelligence”

I came across this story about artificial intelligence today. Egad: the premise of the BBC story is that by the year 2029, scientists hope to have nanotechnology that can be implanted in the human brain to make humans more “intelligent.”

The story doesn’t take into account a more fundamental question: what kind of intelligence?

The story alludes to the struggle of man vs. machine, as if this were a modern day John Henry story.
